University of the Pacific

University of the Pacific, also known as "Pacific" or "UoP", was founded in 1851. It is a small University in Stockton, CA. Pacific also has two graduate schools outside of Stockton: McGeorge School of Law located in Sacramento and Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry located in San Francisco. The school colors are orange and black. The mascot is a tiger, and is predominately known as "Power Cat." The main campus is in Stockton where it has it's undergraduate, graduate, and pharmacy schools. The Stockton campus is one of the most beautiful campuses on the West Coast, boasting exquisite brick buildings covered with ivy. The campus has an East Coast feel, yet it stands in the central valley of California. Pacific is nationally known for it's pre-pharm and pre-dentistry programs. Nevertheless, all of the programs at Pacific are prestigious. One of the many, include the Conservatory of Music, which was the first conservatory of music on the West Coast. Students come to Pacific for small class sizes and friendly faculty. At Pacific, the individual is treated like one, and never as a number. Furthermore, Pacific depends mainly on it's Alumni, and they are very supportive of the University. The Pacific family is one of the best because they always look out for each other. Indeed, a Dean from the dental school once said, "While you are here only for a few years, you are an alumnus for life."
